Reporting to the Scheduler Lead, you'll be key in building and maintaining project schedules that support our sustainment contracts.This role isn’t just about dates and timelines—it’s about using data to help project teams make smarter decisions. You'll work closely with stakeholders to ensure project performance is measurable, trackable and aligned with the bigger picture, all while keeping schedules accurate and defensible under Earned Value Management (EVM) systems. What InvolvedDeveloping high-level and detailed schedules to support operations and delivery across ISS contractsEstablishing project baselines for resource and capacity planningMaintaining accurate, consistent schedules across all project teamsWorking with cost controllers and managers to produce EVM reports and control varianceContinuously improving scheduling systems in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders What You’ll NeedEssential:Australian Citizenship – essential for security clearanceEligibility for a Baseline Defence Security ClearanceAt least 5 years in a scheduling role (Shipbuilding or Defence preferred)Confident using Primavera P6 (minimum 2 years' hands-on experience)Understanding of EVM, project forecasting, cost estimation (ETC/EAC)Strong analytical and communication skillsProven leadership experience – ideally 5 years managing teamsDesirable:Experience working with Defence, Government or Commercial stakeholdersCertified Practising Project Manager (CPPM or above) through AIPM Why Austal?At Austal, we don’t just build ships—we build futures.
